How to “recall” a sent email in Gmail


Email is an extremely useful tool in exchanging letters with others via the Internet. Sometimes you compose an email and maybe after clicking “Send” button, you immediately realize some typing mistakes or you sent it to the wrong person. You worried that the recipient might misunderstand the content of your email. In this case, you can retrieve sent emails using a cool feature in Gmail called “Undo Send”.

However this feature is not available in Gmail. To enable Undo send, follow the steps below:

HOW TO “RECALL” A SENT EMAIL IN GMAIL.

In the main interface of Gmail, click on the gear icon upper-fight corner of the screen -> select Settings.

In Settings page, click General tab. Scroll down you will see Undo Send feature, check on the Enable Undo Send box and choose time of 5, 10, 20 and 30 seconds to cancel email sent in Gmail. Finally, click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

After this step, as soon as you send an email to someone, you will receive a notification at the top of screen. Click Undo to cancel it in the period you selected, and then this feature will automatically disappear.
